Bernardo Silva leads Manchester City to Champions League final with statement win over Real Madrid

Manchester, United Kingdom Manchester City thrashed Real Madrid 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium to advance to the Champions League championship game and keep their triple hopes alive. Two goals from Bernardo Silva in the first half, an own goal from Eder Militao after the break, and a late fourth goal from replacement Julian Alvarez all contributed to the rout of the current European champions.
Man City will play Inter Milan in the final in Istanbul next month, which could end up being the last leg of the treble if they can also lift the Premier League title and the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola’s team are now just three wins away from matching a feat only achieved once before in English football, by Manchester United in 1999.
